Our Pastor is Schylar Fields. He is a native of a small town in southern Ohio and has a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Shawnee State University. He received his Master of Divinity in 2019 from Liberty University, will complete his Master of Theology in December of 2020, and has been accepted into the PhD program in Evangelism and Preaching at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has previously been employed in construction, sales and marketing while completing his education.
Schylar grew up in the home of a Baptist minister and has been involved in ministry since surrendering to God’s call at the age of nineteen. He has served in nearly every area of church ministry, such as Sunday school teacher, audio/visual tech, visitation and evangelism pastor, youth pastor, and also associate pastor. He loves God’s people and is excited for the privilege to serve the congregation at Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church and the local community. Schylar met the love of his life, Kara, just over a year ago, and they were married on July 11, 2020. She is a medical student at the University of Kentucky. They reside in Lexington. |

Our Worship Leader is Debbie Mullaney. She is a native of Boyle County and has degrees in social work and religious education from Campbellsville University. She received her teaching certification in moderate to severe disabilities from Eastern Kentucky University. Debbie has a M.Ed. degree in early childhood special education, and a Rank 1 in educational leadership. Additionally, she has an EMT certification. Debbie retired from the Boyle County School system in July, 2016. Debbie began taking piano lessons at the age of five, and music has always been an important part of her life. She accompanied choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists both in high school and college. She is both humbled and excited to serve God as the worship leader at Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church. Debbie has two daughters and six grandchildren. She is married to Jim Mullaney, whom she met while on a mission trip to Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac, Michigan. They reside in Perryville. Debbie is also serving as our church secretary. |

Darryl Peavler is our Youth Director.
Kandis Proctor is our Children's Director. She is a native of Anderson County and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Berea College. She has been employed at Hitachi Automotive since 2010 as a Senior Production Planner. Kandis and her daughter, Lillie, currently reside here in Mercer County and are very active in their local Girl Scout troop. They also love to go hiking and watch movies.
Kandis has always had a love for children. This love grew when she started as a Sunday School teacher at Bruner’s Chapel. She looks forward to working with kids and their families to bring them closer to the Lord. |
